Career City is designed by Asudé, a learning design lab that reimagines the world as a playground for learning.

The game was originally prototyped by Vyankatesh Kharage, founder of Asudé, at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

In 2024, Career City represented India at the Intel Young Maker Competition in Beijing, where it won the First Prize for Game Design.
